We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Data & Enterprise Systems, IT for a 90-day temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a full-time role. This position is ideal for a seasoned IT leader based in the tri-state area who can collaborate in person as needed. The successful candidate will drive the vision, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide data, ERP (Microsoft Nav), and merchandising systems. This role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency, and aligning technology investments with business goals across Finance, Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Analytics.

The Head of Data & Enterprise Systems, IT will lead the strategy, design, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide data, ERP, and merchandising systems. This role will be critical in ensuring the seamless operation of core business systems, enabling data-driven decision-making, and optimizing technology investments in merchandising and ERP platforms. The individual will work closely with senior business leaders, IT leadership, and external partners to drive innovation, process improvements, and system enhancements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Define the overall IT strategy for Data, ERP, and Merchandising systems, aligning with business goals.
  • Lead the transformation of ERP, merchandising, and data platforms to support scalability and flexibility for the business.
  • Serve as a key business partner to stakeholders in Finance, Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Data Analytics, understanding their needs and translating them into system strategies.
  1. ERP & Merchandising Systems:
  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of ERP solutions (Microsoft Nav)
  • Ensure the smooth integration of merchandising systems with ERP platforms, aligning supply chain, product management, and retail operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ERP processes, including inventory management, order processing, and financial reporting.
  1. Data Management & Analytics:
  • Oversee the enterprise data architecture, ensuring data governance, quality, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to implement solutions that provide actionable insights to various business units.
  • Ensure systems support for data-driven decision-making, leveraging advanced analytics and business intelligence tools.
  1. Technology Management:
  • Lead the team responsible for the architecture, implementation, and ongoing support of core IT systems in ERP, merchandising, and data.
  • Ensure all systems comply with company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and solution providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to SLAs.
  1. Project & Team Leadership:
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and mentor the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between internal IT teams and business units.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with specific experience managing ERP, data, and merchandising systems.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale ERP and data management projects from inception to implementation.
  • Experience in the retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods sectors is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in integrating merchandising and ERP systems to drive business results.
  • Expertise in data management, governance, and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI, MicroStrategy).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and platforms.
  • Experience with middleware and integration platforms is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

The starting rate of pay offered will vary based on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, training, and/or experience, and internal equity. This base pay range 185,600-232,000-278,400 is specific to the state this role is posted in and may not be applicable to other locations. At David’s Bridal, it is rare for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range in their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the details and circumstances of each position and candidate.
